Getting Started
Therapy normally starts with an initial 90 minute consultation. This session will allow us to discuss your concerns in depth. Follow up sessions are 45 minutes long.

The initial consultation is attended by different members of the family depending on each case.
If you are concerned about a child under the age of 12, it is advisable for both parents or carers to attend (if possible) prior to the child attending. This will allow us to collect all relevant information and talk through any sensitive material.

For children between the ages of 12 and 15, parents can attend the initial consultation with or without their child.

For young people 16 years old and over, it is recommended that they attend on their own. This will enable them to own the space and know that therapy is their own space and confidential. However, a parent can attend if the young person would like to have their support.

The above are general guidelines for what is recommended in the initial consultation; however, we can discuss your specific case and needs.

01
Child Therapy
Highly experienced in providing child psychotherapy, I create a safe and supportive environment for children to express themselves and work through their challenges.

I am trained to work with young children from the ages of 2 onwards. When working with very small children (2-4 yo) sessions include one of the parents. This work will focus on supporting emotional development, attachment and communication.

When working with older children (4 -12 yo) sessions will focus on understanding a child's 'internal world' so that they can gain greater self-awareness. By being able to make sense of their emotions and behaviour, children are better able to communicate and display more appropriate behaviours.
02
Adolescent Therapy
My approach to adolescent therapy focuses on addressing the unique needs and struggles of teenagers, helping them navigate through this crucial stage of development.

Having a private and confidential space outside the family can be an invaluable opportunity for teenagers to make sense of their concerns and develop their identity, particularly as they transition from parental dependency into independence.
03
Psychotherapy with Young Adults
My sessions with young adults are tailored to address a wide range of issues, helping manage mental health difficulties and other concerns at a stage of transition. The aim is to support young people to be able to establish fulfilling relationships, gain independence and lead an enriching adult life.
04
Working with Parents
I offer support to help parents better understand and respond to their child's emotional and behavioural needs. This work will focus on strengthening relationships and improving communication as a way to better support both the child's and family's well-being.
05
Parent-Infant Psychotherapy
Parent-infant psychotherapy supports parents and babies (usually from birth to around 2 years old) by exploring their emotional connection and early attachment patterns. Through observing and reflecting on interactions, we can understand the baby's feelings and parents' responses. The aim is to strengthen bonding, promote a secure attachment and support the baby's emotional and developmental well-being.
06
Online Therapy
In addition to in-person sessions, I offer online therapy services to provide convenient access and support those unable to attend in-person sessions. My online sessions are conducted in a secure and confidential virtual environment.
Confidentiality & GDPR
All communication including telephone calls, emails, texts and sessions are strictly confidential. I abide by the ACP’s Code of Ethics and I comply with the Data Protection Act 1998, and the European General Data Protection Regulations 2018. As such I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office and abide by GDPR rules.
